Ezekiel 44

Faithful Priests (Zadokites)

• The sons of Zadok remained faithful.
• They are allowed to minister before God.
• They alone approach the altar.

Regulations for Priests

Instructions include:

• Proper garments (linen, not wool)
• Personal holiness
• Teaching the people:
  • distinction between holy and common
• Fair judgment
• Dietary laws

Ezekiel 45

Holy Portion of the Land

• A central portion of land is set apart for:
  • the sanctuary
  • the priests
  • the Levites
• A portion is also given to the prince.

Leaders must:

• stop oppression
• practice justice
• use honest weights and measures

• The people provide offerings.
• The prince oversees public worship.
• Regular sacrifices are established.

Festivals and Worship

• Instructions for:
  • cleansing the sanctuary
  • Passover
  • Feast observances

Ezekiel 46

Sabbath and New Moon Worship

• The east gate opens on:
  • Sabbaths
  • New moons
• The prince participates in worship.
• The people gather to worship the LORD.

 Order in Worship

• People enter and exit in organized patterns.
• Movement is structured and intentional.

 Daily Offerings

• Daily sacrifices are required.
• Worship is continual, not occasional.

The Prince’s Inheritance

• The prince may give land to his sons.
• He must not take land unjustly from the people.

Temple Kitchens

• Designated places for cooking offerings.
• Keeps sacred activities within proper spaces.

Application

God cares deeply about how His people approach Him. Worship is not casual, especially from leaders. At the same time, God desires justice and fairness in everyday life, not just our religious activity. We can show true worship in how we honor God and how we treat others.
